New Mitsubishi Eclipse Ralliart

Quick Specs:

· AWD, Lancer Evolution turbo engine, 15-inch front brakes

· More carbon fiber than some racecars

Every year car enthusiast around the world is waiting for the new cars being launch in the market. With its all new looks and better performance, we all wish that we are the first one to own this new vehicles in our community.Though probably not as well-known as the Evolution nameplate, Ralliart also means performance in Mitsubishi-speak; it's their racing technology team. For the best of both worlds, Mitsubishi combined the two to produce the Eclipse Ralliart concept: a 2006 Eclipse coupe with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution engine and driveline components, plus performance add-ons galore.External, extensive ground effects lower the Eclipse's stance. A black bumper holds no fog lights, as do other Eclipses, and beefy twin tailpipes sit beneath underbody air channels. A massive rear wing actually looks presentable nothing nearly as showy as other aftermarket spoilers, and its carbon fiber construction means weight gain is minimal. Broad sections of the lightweight material are used throughout the Eclipse Ralliart concept: The hood, front fenders, roof, side mirrors and fascias are all constructed with carbon fiber, so it's likely the concept weighs considerably less than a production Eclipse. The concept is probably made up of as many aftermarket parts as Mitsubishi parts. The list of suppliers runs long: Yokohama supplies the tires for the 19-inch, thin-spoke wheels; Recaro makes the racing seats; HKS produces the turbocharger, cams and air-fuel controller; RPS supplies the triple-plate, carbon fiber clutch; and Brembo provides the eight-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers. With all these racing preparation specs this car is one heck of solid, stable and powerful car. This car is powerful no question about it. The question is, can you handle all of this power? Remember, a good race car driver bind its spirit with his car.

Bio-Ethanol, Gasoline of the Future!!!

One of the very reliable alternative fuels or bio fuel is Ethanol. Ethanol is an alcohol-based bio fuel produced by fermenting and distilling starch crops that have been converted into simple sugars. Feed stocks for this bio fuel include corn, barley, sugar cane (which is Negros occidental's main crops) and wheat. Ethanol could also be produced from "cellulosic biomass" such as trees and grasses and is called bio-ethanol. This bio fuel is most commonly used to increase octane and improve the emissions quality of gasoline when mixed.

Ethanol could be blended with gasoline to create E85, a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. E85 and blends with even higher concentrations of ethanol, E95, for example, qualify as alternative fuels under the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (EPAct). Vehicles that run on E85 are called flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) and are offered by several vehicle manufacturers.

In some areas of the United States, lower concentrations of this bio fuel or ethanol are blended with gasoline. The most common low concentration blend is E10 (10% ethanol and 90% gasoline). While it reduces emissions, E10 is not considered an alternative fuel under EPAct regulations.

These alternative fuels or bio fuel can help us promote a cleaner environment and cut our daily expenses to a certain percentage. Philippines are now campaigning intensively for alternative fuel production and uses. Many automotive companies are now developing alternative fueled vehicle for global distribution.

18 Highly Expensive Cars Crushed in Subic and Sold for 10 pesos per Kilo

August, 16, 2007. Subic, Philippines. 18 Luxury Cars claimed by Customs officials as smuggled vehicles were crushed into scrap metal to give smugglers a lesson. According to Inquirer.net , Vehicles being crushed are , Lincoln Navigator, three BMW X5s, a Chevrolet Camper and a Mitsubishi GTO sports car were among the vehicles worth a total of P30 million pesos (US$652,000) crushed by backhoes in the Subic Bay Freeport as Finance Secretary Margarito Teves and customs officials watched. The cars were smashed on orders from our President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo "to send a message and also because it's common knowledge that if we auction them, the smugglers also win so it defeats the purpose," said Arroyo's aide, Cerge Remonde.

However Arroyo , who was scheduled to fly to Subic, failed to witness the crushing of the vehicles after her back-up helicopter experienced mechanical trouble. The government hopes the example will serve as a deterrent to smugglers, Teves said.
"It's morally justifiable because (smuggling is) harming the state, it's harming our industry, it doesn't generate potential employment for our people," he said.
He appealed to everyone to "pay your taxes to help the country because we need the revenues to provide our people services and infrastructure."
Teves said the 18 smuggled vehicles alone cost the government P10 million (US$217,000) in lost taxes.

Fourteen other cars -- including a Porsche, a Lamborghini and a Ferrari -- that were supposed to be destroyed also Thursday were not crushed because their importers sought court action, Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group chief Antonio Villar said in an interview over government station Radyo ng Bayan.

Villar said several civic groups such as the Gawad Kalinga also appealed to the President to consider auctioning off the expensive cars and use the proceeds to help the poor.
But the group said the auction should be monitored by the government to ensure the cars would not land again in the hands of the smugglers.

Customs Commissioner Napoleon Morales said the 18 destroyed cars were smuggled into Subic in 2002 but were not claimed by their owners, perhaps for fear of being in trouble with the law. The 14 other cars have claimants who are contesting their forfeiture in court, he said.
Earlier this month, Arroyo vowed to step up anti-smuggling efforts after revenue collections fell short of the target for the first half of the year and local industries complained about rampant smuggling. (Inquirer.net)

Smashing these cars like tin cans seems to be a very stupid idea. However, our government has their own valid reasons for these actions. We all know many Filipinos are Homeless and suffering poverty for decades. If only these cars were auctioned and all the money will be given to the people directly it would be a great help.

Air for fuel?

After my post about a car that runs on water by Mr.Daniel Dingel. I was so interested to find more about other alternative fuel or Bio fuel vehicle. Bio fuel is now a very in demand for its environment friendly benefit.Other than water fuel vehicle or a Hydrogen and Oxygen Bio fuel car, I found a compress air fuel vehicle. This vehicle is invented by MDI (Moteur Development International). This car is made of lightweight materials such as aluminum and alloy steels. Its air tank is made of safety carbon fiber that can hold tremendous quantity of compress air to avoid explosion during an accident. They dedicate fourteen years of research and development of this new amazing vehicle. Guy Negre has developed this engine that could become one of the biggest technological advances of this century. Its application to Compressed Air Technology (CAT) vehicles gives them significant economical and environmental advantages. With the incorporation of bi-energy (compressed air + fuel) the CAT Vehicles have increased their driving range to close to 2000 km with zero pollution in cities and considerably reduced pollution outside urban areas. Compress-air as a new bio fuel is now a new viable form of power that allows the increase and transport of energy. With this new alternative fuels, we can save huge amount of money, and we can promote better environment for our future children and grandchildren.

Here's the Video:

MDI right now is consistently starting the full production of a series of engines and vehicles for world wide distribution using compress air as a new bio fuel or a fuel alternative. According to MDI, the application of the MDI engine in other areas, outside the automotive sector, opens a multitude of possibilities in nautical fields, co-generation, auxiliary engines, electric generators groups, etc. This is a very good new for all of us, whether water or a compress air fueled car. It is still for our own benefits. We should be very thankful for these people.

Water for Fuel? Is this Real?

Last night I watch you tube and I searched about new fuel alternatives and bio fuel. One video had caught my attention and as I watch the video, I was amazed and wish that this is true. The video is about water serve as a fuel for a car. And I remember back in my high school days on our chemistry experiment. Electrolysis of water can be split into two components hydrogen and oxygen than can serve as fuel. However, electrolysis of will need a lot of power to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. And a car is only run by a 12volt battery, which is obviously not enough to operate electrolysis. However a Filipino scientist named Mr. Daniel Dingel run his car with “TAP WATER." Mr. Dingel starts building his water-fuel engine as early as 1969 and dedicates his 30 years on developing his invention. According to him, his engine has a chamber that breaks apart water molecules to produce combustible hydrogen as a bio fuel. Electricity from a 12-volt car battery to use to split the water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen components, with the hydrogen then used to fuel the car engine.

Mr. Daniel Dingel has no patents for his invention and many of science associations or groups are giving a label for his invention as a fraud. However, Mr. Daniel Dingel has showed his car to public without any technical papers or explanation how real was his invention. His invention obviously is a major threat for all the oil companies around the world, but a major advantage and blessing to us consumers. Some of us may think this is just another science fiction or a hoax. However, these people or inventors give their full time, effort and money just to make new things for our benefits. Discovering new fuel alternatives and bio fuels are very useful for us.We should give them respect and gratitude for what they are doing for us. And if this water-fuel car does work, it would be a fantastic invention for all of us. Here's his video:

Planted Fuel

Have you ever wished our fuel will be free? If yes, you are 1 of the 98% of car owners around the world that having problem on our car's fuel consumption. Fuel consumption sometimes overtakes our budget on food for everyday living. Fuel consumption depends on engine size and engine displacement. However, how we drive our car also effects what our fuel consumption would be. If you are one of those people who drive like “street racers”, you definitely have higher fuel consumption. These kinds of drivers are driving in sudden brake and sudden acceleration mode.

Here in the Philippines, our government and its people are working on new reliable fuel alternatives or bio fuel. Philippines are importing 90% of its fuel overseas, and fuel cost increases almost every week. This oil price hike in the end of the line will cause major pain to the consumers. And dangerous oil fumes from petroleum or fossil fuels are damaging our environment.Alternative Fuels or Bio fuel will be the key for this problems.

JATROPHA CURCAS

Philippines because it vast land can now produce its own Bio fuel through planting. Yes through PLANTING, many plants here in Philippines can be a good source of bio fuel. Jatropha curcas or locally called tuba tuba in Luzon and Kasla in the visayas is one of those fuel alternatives plants. Jatropha is a 5-8 feet high wild fruit bearing tree with wide leaves. Its nut are used to produce Bio-diesel fuel and for soap productions. 3 kilos of Jatropha nuts can produce 1 liter of pure Jatropha Oil. Jatropha Oil is now in demand in other part of the world and many entrepreneurs distinguish the positive potential of this plant on the business point of view for Bio Fuel production. If you own a plantation of Jatropha curcas, you can start harvesting after 1-2 years from planting exactly 12 - 15 tons per hectares on the first harvest and it almost double its production every succeeding harvest until its 7th year of age. Jatropha nuts can be sold for P5 or $0.10 per Kg to Jatropha oil processing plant for Bio-diesel or Bio Fuel Production.

COCONUTS

Aside from Jatropha curcas, you can also produce Bio Fuel or bio-diesel from coconuts. Coconut was also a huge source for cooking oil production, virgin coco oil and Bio-diesel. Coconuts are known as a tree of life because of its general efficacy. With this tree alone you can build a house and have a food to eat for survival. Its juice from the nuts is also good remedy for Urinary tract Infection as most doctors advise. At this time, coconut oil is very in demand to the consumers. Coconut oils for Bio Fuel or Bio-diesel and cooking oil production are now its main function. To maximize the coconut oil usage, many chemists produce bio-diesel from a used cooking oil. Cooking oil will be purified and processed for bio-diesel productions. Bio-diesel or Bio Fuel compare to petroleum diesel are cleaner and less emission.
